How to Convert 9v dc to 9v ac

Tushar Trivedi,
Welcome to my First Post. This post is regarding conversion of DC current to AC current. I am going to use a 555 timer IC in this electronic circuit. The fact and the principle used is very easy if you understand it.
I am going to give you a step-by-step procedure to make the circuit using pictures.
Step 1. The things you will need for the conversion of DC to AC voltage are:
1. A breadboard or Perfboard or as you like.
2. A soldering iron and of course soldering wire and equipment.
3. A 555 timer IC. You can get it from any nearby electronic hobby store or you could buy it online. If you live in India you can buy it from electroncomponents.com. This website really helps and I get my supplies  from here.
4. Resistors 10 K , 100 K, 500 Ohm variable resistor (optional), 100 K, 1 K and 150 Ohm.
5. Capacitors 0.1 uF, 0.01 uF. Resistors and Capacitors can be found on any electronic store or electroncomponents.com.
6. A Centre Tapped Transformer or you could make your own by winding 30-30 turns of 26 awg wire on the primary on a ferrite toroid and 30 turns of wire as the secondary.Use this transformer only in high frequency applications. You can find the value best suited for you by trial and error method otherwise a purchased transformer is the best.
7. A 9 volt, 6 volt or 12 volt battery or any voltage battery producing less than 15 volts .
Step 2. Now that we have gathered all the components we are ready for the fun. Take a look at the circuit. You can clearly see that it an astable multivibrator circuit.

Step 3. The third step is simple. Just construct a circuit on breadboard or other board. If you are new to soldering just look around the web, there are a lot of resources you can find.
